Marta was born in Castellón, in the east of Spain. Her mother tongues are Valencian and Spanish. She is passionate about languages and started learning English and French and doing summer courses abroad when she was a child. In 2012, she graduated with a degree in Translation and Interpreting from the Universidad Jaume I in Castellón. Additionally, in 2014, she did a teacher training course in Spanish as a Foreign Language in the Instituto Cervantes in Utrecht (Netherlands). Afterwards, in 2015, she carried out a Master’s degree in Teacher Training for Secondary Education in the Universidad Internacional Isabel I de Castilla. She has done several online courses related to proofreading and style in the Spanish language.
Marta has experience teaching English, French and Spanish to children and adults. She has been teaching English in a language academy and occasionally in secondary schools since her last year in university. Her first experience teaching Spanish was at Université de Dunkerque (France) as an advisor/tutor for language students in their first year. She also taught in Amsterdam while she was an intern at the Centro Cultural de Hispanohablantes.
Marta loves cooking, reading novels, hiking, volunteering and, of course, travelling. She also likes discovering new societies and cultures and meeting new people.
